Welcome

As we begin a new year of Futsal in our Federation, we look forward to you all participating and supporting our teams, players, referees and competitions in the next 12 months.

Football South Futsal is still working through new opportunities and developing several programs for coaching, refereeing and creating academies for all those you enjoy all aspects of Futsal.

Dunedin is still the largest national participation area for Futsal, and we hope to report on the great work several people in our Federation are doing to get Futsal going in their areas.

The following is a taste of what is in place so far for this year.

Events and Dates of Competitions

Monday Night Social Futsal Comp at the Edgar centre:

Current Summer comp continues and finishes on the 11^th February.

Autumn 10-week Comp begins Monday 25^th of Feb              Registrations close on the 11^th February

Winter 10-week Comp begins Monday 27^th of May              Registrations close on the 13^th May

Spring 10-week Comp begins Monday 19^th of August          Registrations close on the 5^th of August

Summer 10-week Comp begins Monday 4^th of November   Registrations close on the 21^st of October

Men’s Full Court Comp is still to be confirmed

Term 1 School Competitions at the Edgar Centre:

Intermediate Sch Yr 7-8 Comp begins Tuesday 19^th of February

Primary Sch Yr 1-6 Comp begins Wednesday 20^th of February

(Team numbers for the Wednesday competition are clapped, so any over flow will be played on Tuesdays)

High Sch Yr 9-10 & Yr 11-13 Comp begins Thursday 21^st of February

These Comp above registrations close on the 8^th of February

Otago Secondary School Futsal Tournament at the Edgar centre Dunedin

This One-Day tournament will be held on Friday the 8^th of March 9.00am to 4.30pm

Registrations close for this tournament on the 25^th of February:

2019 Women’s Futsal Super league:

3 Day Federation Futsal Tournament 15^th to 17^th February at the ASB Centre Wellington

NZ Secondary Schools Futsal Tournament:

Girls Yr 9-10 & Yr 11-13 (2-Day competition) March 25^th & 26^th

Boys Yr 9-10 & yr 11-13 (3-Day competition) March 27^th to 29^th

To be held at the ASB Centre Wellington

NZ University National Futsal Tournament:

For Men and Females

To be held in Tauranga between the 25^th and 28^th of April

NZ Futsal National Youth Tournament

Boys U19, U16 & U14

Girls U19, U16 & U14

To be held over 4 Days from the 11^th to 14^th of July. Venue still to be advised:

NZ Men’s National League:

Comp begins the weekend of the 19^th & 20^th of Oct, with the Finals on the weekend of the 6^th to the 8^th of December. Matches, venues and times still TBC.

Term 4 School Competitions at the Edgar Centre:
